Generally the complaints are about poor after sales service and the poor performance of the Cell C modems. The email below is a shocking experience that one of my readers are currently experiencing read through it before buying your Cell C data package.

Last time i had problems with missing data which i got charged for, it seems the problem still persists. My latest debit order that went off was R760, where its supposed to be R150. I get charged 39 cents per meg after my 2gig is finished. that means that(according to Cell C) i have gone 1.5 gig over my limit, which, once again, is impossible. Either my data stick is faulty or the system is corrupt. Today Cell C tells me(the Cell C window on my pc) that my bill is R527.35 and we have 1715mb left. how does that work? how can my bill be R527.35 AND i have 1715 mb left? something is not right.
I went to my closest Cell C shop and asked them to re check my account and according to them they say im using so much data per month. This is totally impossible, somewhere alot of data gets missing and im getting charged for it. The biggest problem i have is that my cell c goes off on debit order.
Every month I budget for all my debit orders. I make sure that i have a little bit extra in case i have gone over my 2gig limit but not R600 extra. The problem is that i had other debit orders bouncing back because cell c over charged my by 4 times the normal amount. and this is not my problem but the bank doesn’t care. They say i must get a letter from cell c to say that it was their fault.
I feel that im being treated very unfairly. im not saying that i do not go over my 2 gig limit and im happy to pay whatever i do go over but i monitor my usage very carefully and im definitely not using 1.5 gig over my limit. since i got this cell c stick i have not been charged the right amount once. and todays message of my bill being R527.35 and i still have 1715meg left just doesnt make sense.
